String Cheese At "Forefront Of Self-Ticketing Movement" (Billboard), Sold Out Summer Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) After making headlines at the beginning of the summer touring season by taking ticketing into their own hands, The String Cheese Incident have sold out almost every show on their 2012 summer run. The tour concluded recently with three headlining SCI sets at Horning's Hideout, a festival in North Plains, OR that the group founded over a decade ago and sold out in only 20 minutes this year. Other highlights include Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads sitting in with the band and The Greek in LA and three headlining sets at Electric Forest for a crowd of over 25,000.

Earlier this summer the band bought $20,000 worth of tickets to their Greek Theater show in LA and resold them directly to fans without the usual Ticketmaster fees.

The New York Times wrote about the band's battle with Ticketmaster (https://nyti.ms/SSwU0U) and Billboard proclaimed them to be "at the forefront of the self-ticketing movement" (https://bit.ly/MEqFNs).

The band discussed ticketing and much more in the web series 'This Week In Music' here: https://bit.ly/LLKHBi

This summer also saw the release of "Can't Wait Another Day," SCI's first studio recording in seven years. Listen here: https://bit.ly/N0a96g
