LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) "Birdman" soared at the 87th Academy Awards on Sunday, winning best film as well as directing honors for Alejandro G. Inarritu.
The dark comedy, starring Michael Keaton as a washed-up movie superhero who seeks redemption on the Broadway stage, won four Oscars, including original screenplay and cinematography.
Eddie Redmayne won the lead actor award for "The
Theory of Everything," and the lead actress Oscar went to Julianne Moore for "Still Alice."
Patricia Arquette and J.K. Simmons won for supporting actress and supporting actor.
The 87th Academy Awards were handed out Sunday, February 22nd at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. The show, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, aired live on ABC.
