LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, David Bowie, Jake Bugg, Vampire Weekend, Biffy Clyro, Foals, The Stones Roses, Laura Marling, Ellie Goulding, Mumford & Sons, John Grant, The Rolling Stones and many others all nominated for this year's ceremony

On Monday, October 21st 2013 Q - the UK's premier music magazine will be honouring the greatest music of the past year again at one of the most respected, legendary and infamous dates on the music calendar, The Q Awards 2013.
In the time honoured tradition Q continues to champion the very best in music, topping the list of nominees this year are David Bowie with six nominations, followed by Arctic Monkeys, Foals and Daft Punk with 3 apiece
Disclosure, Palma Violets, Laura Mvula. TOY, Tom Odell along with Jake Bugg will fight it out for Q Best New Act, the most hotly contested of all the categories this year.

Other notable nominees include John Grant, Laura Marling, Vampire Weekend, and Ellie Goulding all of whom have released albums acclaimed by Q during the past year. On getting two nominations Ellie said 'It means so much to be nominated for a Q award, I have read and loved Q Magazine for as long as I can remember. It's an honour to be nominated in these categories with these nominees'.

Biffy Clyro whom are tipped to take home a Q gong this year said 'We're extremely excited to be nominated for awards by Q magazine. It's a privilege to be in these categories'.
Presenting the awards once more will be Al Murray aka The Pub Landlord who commented "October is the only month with a Q in it! It's a thrill once more to be hosting what has to be the greatest event in the music calendar. Not that I can remember any of the previous Q Awards that I've hosted "
