NEW YORK (CD Intelligence) - CD Intelligence teams with Universal/Motown Records to release legendary singing group The
Temptations and Hip-Hop pioneer Erik Sermon albums which will include Bandlink, a unique enhanced CD technology. The highly anticipated return of The Tempations' new album, Legacy, was recently released on June 8, 2004, followed by Erik Sermon's latest project, Chilltown, New York, which was released on June 22, 2004.
Both The Temptations and Erik Sermon CDs will include digital encoding called Bandlink which creates a connection between the artist and listeners through their PC. Once the buyer inserts the CD into their PC, they will have instant access to exclusive material and features on The Temptations and Erik Sermon.
The Temptations' enhanced CD album, Legacy, will provide buyers with tour information, exclusive photos, and an exclusive interview with Otis of The Temptations. The CD will also bring the viewer on the road with the group with a special "live" concert performance. In addition, Bandlink will offer buyers a chance to win a trip to see The Tempations "in-person" at one of their shows. These features and contests are all exclusive through Bandlink.
Hip-Hop recording artist, Eric Sermon's latest release, Chilltown, New York, will also include special features such as exclusive photos, performances and give-a-ways. Furthermore, Universal/Motown Records and CD Intelligence will give buyers an opportunity to enter to win an in-studio recording session with Eric Sermon, which will include a trip to New York City!
CD Intelligence offers many other features such as exclusive music videos, "Live Chat" rooms with the artists, listening parties and much more. These features are only available on CDs distributed by the record company. Therefore, using Bandlink reduces the number of consumers to buy a bootleg version of an artist's CD.
Universal/Motown Records plan to use Bandlink on all of their upcoming releases. "No other technology provides the CD enhancement and the incentive to our music consumers like Bandlink. We are thrilled with the reactions we have received," states Jackie Rhinehart, Senior VP of Marketing at Universal/Motown Records.
CD Intelligence has already experienced success with such artist as Norah Jones, Santana, Adema, Toni Braxton, Donnie, Pink, Sara McLachlan, TLC, and Bone Crusher to name a few, and this is just the beginning. There is no other enhanced CD company that offers such innovative marketing tactics as CD Intelligence does with their Bandlink technology.
CD Intelligence is a patent-pending technology developed by CD Intelligence LLC. Bandlink is a trademark of CD Intelligence LLC.
