OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Sprint) -Sept. 21, 2005-Sprint (NYSE:S) today announced that Mike Jones, one of the hottest new rappers, is the latest artist to achieve Gold status on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network by selling more than 500,000 Music Tones from his Who Is Mike Jones? album released in April 2005. In this short timeframe, Sprint customers have clearly shown that Mike Jones ringers, including "Back Then" and "Still Tippin,'" are the ringers to have on their mobile phone.

"Mike Jones achieving Gold status so quickly on Sprint is impressive; he joins an elite group of artists who have achieved this milestone," said Jeff Hallock, vice president of consumer product marketing and strategy for Sprint. "For fans, Music Tones are an ideal way to personalize their mobile phones; for artists, they are a great way to keep their name and song in front of their fans and in the palm of their fans' hands."

"Mike Jones successfully integrated wireless marketing and sales into his album release from the beginning," said Adam Mirabella, Senior Vice President, e-Commerce, WEA Corp., Warner Music Group's U.S. sales and retail marketing company. "Achieving this mobile music milestone within six months of release is a testament to the power of embracing the mobile community early and connecting an artist with their 'mobile fan base.'"

Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to offer ringers that sound like actual songs with the introduction of Music Tones in July 2003. Today, Sprint offers thousands of ringers, including Music Tones, Video Ringers and Voice Ringers. Sprint continues its leadership in mobile music with four Platinum and nine Gold artists selling more than one million and 500,000 Music Tones respectively. Ciara, Beyonce, Usher and 50 Cent have achieved Platinum status on Sprint, and Mike Jones joins Lil Flip, Petey Pablo, Destiny's Child, T.I., Mario, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and The Game in achieving Gold status on Sprint.

Sprint PCS Vision(SM) customers can purchase and download ringers directly from their Sprint PCS Vision Phones or at www.sprintpcs.com. To access ringers on the phone, select Menu/ Downloads/ Ringers/ then Get New to browse the titles available from Sprint. Music Tones are $2.50 to download.

Sprint PCS Vision includes services that allow customers to take and receive pictures from select Sprint PCS Vision Phones; browse the Internet at speeds faster than most dial-up connections; check personal and corporate email; watch clips and stream audio for news and music; and download ringers and full-color, graphically rich games and screen savers, all on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network.
