Minneapolis, MN (Top40 Charts/ Adele Media Relations) - Blues/rock guitarist Shannon Curfman has been hired by rock and roll superstar, Kid Rock, to be a singer and guitarist for his band. Curfman has been playing to sold-out, 80,000-person crowds with Kid Rock as part of Bon Jovi's "The Circle" tour. Since Curfman joined the band, she has performed with Rock on the CMT Awards, The Isle of Malta MTV Festival in the Mediterranean, Fan Fair in Nashville, a week-long stint at the O2 Arena in London, and a private show for Spike TV.

Shannon had this to say about the experience so far:

"For the last couple years I have talked about wanting to work for someone else, but it was something I never thought would happen. As much as I love my own career, being an employee of Kid's instead of the boss is quite the relief and something I just couldn't turn down. I feel honored to be a part of something so much bigger than my own career, and it is a thrill to sing 'Picture' with him every night. It's a high that I can't even describe. I have so much respect for Mr. Rock and the band, and I hope to add as much as I can to the live shows and compliment what he does. He has one of the best and most entertaining live shows I have ever seen. I hope to be around this camp for a very long time."

Curfman is still in process of promoting her newly released album, What You're Getting Into. The album was recorded at Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis' epic Flyte Tyme Studios in Minneapolis, MN. Special guests on the album include platinum-selling artist Joe Bonamassa-playing and singing a duet of a classic Eric Clapton song-and multi-platinum artist Stevie D from Buckcherry on a cover of a song by Queen.

Guitarist and singer/songwriter Shannon Curfman burst upon the blues and roots rock scene in 1999 with her major-label debut for Arista Records, Loud Guitars, Big Suspicions. This exceptionally well-produced and well-sequenced debut album won her rave reviews all over the world, and garnered huge amounts of publicity because she was only 14 at the time.

Kid Rock along with Curfman will perform at WE Fest on August 6th, in Detroit Lakes, MN, and at Sturgis, SD, on August 10th.
