Arrested Youth Joins Waterparks' A Night Out On Earth Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Arrested Youth, a project from the mind of upstate NY singer-songwriter Ian Johnson, is amidst a breakout year. Since August, Johnson has been touring North America in support of his John Feldmann-produced debut studio LP, 'Nonfiction'. He's sold-out headline shows across the country and recently supported Twenty One Pilots on their Takeover Tour, playing to packed arena crowds at Denver's Ball Arena, Chicago's United Center, and The Forum in Los Angeles. Now Johnson is bringing Arrested Youth back out on the road this fall, opening for Waterparks on their A Night Out On Earth US tour. The 26-date run kicked off on October 25 in San Francisco and concludes on December 6 in Los Angeles, stopping in Seattle, New York, Philadelphia, and many more cities along the way.

Released in June through Lowly/Big Noise, 'Nonfiction' is Johnson's most personal work to date. American Songwriter called the 15 track album "deeply intimate, revealing, and life-affirming" and stated that "Johnson's storytelling powers are indisputable." Lead single "Find My Own Way," featuring Blink 182's Mark Hoppus, continues to pick up steam at radio, seeing rotation on SiriusXM Alt Nation and regional spins at KROQ (Los Angeles) and ALT104.5 (Philadelphia). 'Nonfiction' has accrued over 10M streams since its release, further solidifying Johnson and Arrested Youth as an artist to watch.

Honesty is the best policy, but that adage is most powerful when applied to music. For Arrested Youth, started by Ian Johnson in 2017, truth is the impetus behind any good song. It's why Ian writes lyrics and why fans connect to his songs so strongly. For his first studio album, 'Nonfiction,' Ian offers a glimpse into his struggles - and triumphs - over the last year. "These are songs about where I was at in my life and what I was going through," Ian says of 'Nonfiction,' which follows Arrested Youth's EPs, 'FEAR' (2018) and 'Sobville' (2019). "I'm here to tell my story, for better or worse. Writing this album has helped put a lot of things into perspective for me, and I hope it can do the same for others."
