NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic Records has announced the release this week of the self-titled debut album from Halestorm. The set, which includes the first single, "I Get Off," is now available in stores and through online retailers.
Produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Flyleaf), "HALESTORM" is an explosive collection of infectious hard rock anthems, a fiery flurry of sexy hooks and rough and tumble grooves. Steering this runaway train is dynamic singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale, who brings a hypnotic intensity to such tracks as the sensual "I Get Off," which is bulleting up the top 30 on the Active Rock radio chart.
Halestorm has begun garnering attention in the media, both in the U.S. and internationally. Mix magazine called Halestorm's debut "rock 'n' roll at its finest." UK music rag Kerrang! raved about Halestorm's frenetic live performance, declaring: "...Halestorm's delivery and songs are nothing short of note-perfect and instantly memorable, and if they don't become incredibly massive immediately, there's something very wrong with the world." Revolver spotlights Lzzy Hale in the June issue's "Hottest Chicks of Metal" feature, which is on newsstands now.
Halestorm has recruited new fans in droves on their non-stop nationwide tour. The band's fierce live show wins over crowds city by city, every night. Over the last two months, the band has gathered nearly 10,000 in sales through pre-orders on their website and at their live shows. Currently, Halestorm is finishing up dates with Trapt, after which they'll reunite with labelmates Shinedown for select shows. In June, the band will meet up with Veer Union and Burn Halo for a trek kicking off June 2 in Milwaukee.
Formed in 1998 by Lzzy and her brother, drummer Arejay Hale, Halestorm has made its bones as a major league hard rock outfit via countless North American gigs alongside such like-minded artists as Shinedown, Seether, Flyleaf, and Trapt. 2006 saw the release of Halestorm's debut Atlantic EP, "ONE AND DONE," which expertly captured the intensity and energy of the band's live show.
