Multi-Grammy Winning "String Wizard" John McEuen Releases Single "Excitable Boy" From New Solo Album Made In Brooklyn
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grammy-award winning producer, songwriter and musician John McEuen is set to release a new single to radio - Excitable Boy. The Warren Zevon favorite is highlighted on McEuens new 16-song, high-definition recording project titled MADE IN BROOKLYN (due September 30/Chesky Records) and will be released to radio and available for streaming August 26, 2016. Fans who pre-order the album (available for pre-sale on 8/26/2016 via all major digital retail outlets) will receive a digital download of the single as an instant gratification gift to the purchaser.

Excitable Boy is one of the strangest songs Ive heard; like Knoxville Girl, Polly Von, or Mack The Knife, it could be classified as a killer ballad. McEuen said. Not that we were looking for something morbid; I just felt compelled to record something dark. Its a classic and an all-time Zevon fan favorite. It works great as a new Bluegrass murder ballad, but is not likely to make it to the Opry!

Featured on McEuens newest solo album, Excitable Boy offers music enthusiasts a taste of whats to come from this highly anticipated Chesky Records project. MADE IN BROOKLYN is chock-full with signature originals, pays homage to yesteryear and highlights a lost classic. With multi-genre and generation appeal, created in similar fashion to the landmark WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN (with musicians all in one room, in this case a church in Brooklyn, recording in a circle all at the same time), Excitable Boy spotlights performances by David Bromberg [who has performed alongside Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, Rusty Evans (The Deep) and Bob Dylan], Matt Cartsonis (Zevons stage partner for many years), Andy Goessling (Railroad Earth) and Jay Ungar on fiddle.

MADE IN BROOKLYN is a music-to-your-ears audio feast purposefully produced to give the listener an in-studio experience, part of Cheskys Binaural + Series. Borrowing from an old-fashioned, live production method, all musicians were strategically positioned in a reverberant church (located in Brooklyn, NY) for a simultaneous recording. The live performances were captured in high-resolution (24-bit/192kHz) with the single Dummy Head microphone system, affectionately named LARS. (Lars' ear microphones are specially calibrated to recreate the spatial characteristics of human hearing to offer a spacious, lush and multi-dimensional listening experience).
MADE IN BROOKLYN is poised to rank among the audiophiles top must-have recordings; Excitable Boy will be at the top of the playlist.
Excitable Boy Available 8/26/2016 for streaming.

MADE IN BROOKLYN Available 9/30/2016 via all major digital retail outlets and HD Tracks.
[Album pre-sale begins August 26, 2016; purchasers who take advantage of the pre-order, will receive Excitable Boy as an instant gratification track.]
