New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nick Lowe has announced his first U.S. tour dates of 2019. The latest incarnation of Nick Lowe's Quality Rock & Roll Revue Starring Los Straitjackets kicks off April 3 at the Variety Theater in Atlanta, GA, and head up the east coast culminating with an April 13 date at New York's Bowery Ballroom. Lowe will also release new music in 2019 with more details to be revealed soon. Tickets for Nick Lowe's Quality Rock & Roll Revue Starring Los Straitjackets go on sale this week, go to nicklowe.com for details.

Lowe and Los Straitjackets last toured the U.S. in Fall 2018, playing a series of dates in Texas and up the west coast. The Austin Chronicle said the tour kick-off "defied expectations," and Seattle's The Stranger said the pairing was "a match made in goddamn heaven." Lowe and Los Straitjackets also stopped by CONAN during the run to perform new single "Tokyo Bay" on the show's final week of music bookings.

More recently, Lowe was the subject of a career-spanning profile in the December 2018 issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Writer Marc Binelli noted that "he helped shape punk rock, produced Elvis Costello and spent quality time with Johnny Cash. But his best role has been as a master songwriter who never takes himself too seriously."

Last year, Lowe released the Tokyo Bay/Crying Inside EP with backing from Los Straitjackets. NPR Music declared "The Jesus of Cool rocks again," while still "maintaining his sophisticated pop craft" according to Billboard. The four-song EP was Lowe's first new music in five years and it inspired subsequent new songs, which will be released soon.

Los Straitjackets, America's Mexican wrestling mask-clad masters of the guitar instrumental, are no strangers to Lowe's work. They are labelmates with Lowe on North Carolina's Yep Roc Records, and first shared the stage with him in 2012, at Yep Roc's 15th anniversary celebration. Since then they've toured the world with Lowe and released the 2017 tribute album What's So Funny About Peace, Love and Los Straitjackets. Los Straitjackets will also release new music this year.
