Stephen Bishop Release New Studio Album "Be Here Then"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Stephen Bishop official website) Stephen Bishop, best known for hits like "On and On" and "Separate Lives," has just released his first studio album in seven years. "Be Here Then" is available on most online outlets. "Pretty Baby," is the first single in honor of the plight of Missing & Exploited Children and their loved ones.

Art Garfunkel was the first to record any of his compositions. Two of them were on his million-selling album "Breakaway." Shortly thereafter, Stephen was signed to ABC Records and released his first album, "Careless", in 1977. His two big hits from that album,"Save It For a Rainy Day," and "On and On," remain classic hits. The album went gold, as did his next album, "Bish." He sang the hit theme, "It Might Be You," from the movie "Tootsie" in the mid-eighties and wrote and/or sang for 13 other films including "Animal House," "Unfaithfully Yours," and "The China Syndrome." "Separate Lives," Bishop's heartfelt ballad from "White Nights," was recorded by Phil Collins and Marilyn Martin and remains on most radio playlists. Bishop was nominated for two Grammy Awards and awarded an Oscar nomination for the song.

His songs have been performed by numerous other artists including Barbra Streisand, Steve Perry, Stephanie Mills, Kenny Loggins, Johnny Mathis, Phoebe Snow, David Crosby, The Four Tops, Aswad, Pavarotti and Eric Clapton. Clapton is an old friend and writing partner who, in his autobiography, cites Bishop as one of his favorite songwriters.

As a trivia quiz, see if you can spot Stephen in "Animal House "The Kentucky Fried Movie," Henry Jaglom's "Someone To Love" and "The Blues Brothers."

He continues to perform to audiences around the world.
