Musical eccentric, superstar DJ, fashion icon and underground idol, TIGA comes back with full force as he releases his thrilling new single 'Shoes', through Wall of Sound on April 6th 2009. 'Shoes' is the first single to be taken from his brand new album 'Ciao', the follow up to 2006's hugely influential 'Sexor' album.
Tiga says of 'Shoes' 'I wrote it about my three favourite things in life: shoes, hair and gloves.' 'Shoes' is a delicious piece of non-conformist and perfectly modern acid-pop. Destined to fill floors and catwalks all over the world, 'Shoes' is chic, unique and extremely freaky, laced with mellifluous synths and high couture handclaps, all wrapped up in chords that dream like Debussy.
Featuring a mystery guest vocalist described by TIGA as a 'very famous international superstar' who only agreed to contribute if her anonymity was guaranteed�who's that girl?
Currently DJ'ing across the world from Shanghai to Singapore via Buenos Aires and Berlin, TIGA will be returning to the UK very soon.
Co written with Gonzales and co produced by Soulwax 'Shoes' was recorded between Montreal, Sweden and Belgium and is a taster of new album 'Ciao!' which comes out on Wall of Sound on April 20th. Written and produced by TIGA, 'Ciao!' is the fruit of 15 months of collaborations with Soulwax, Jesper Dahlback, Gonzales, Jori Hulkonnen, Jake Shears and James Murphy.
