Youtube's Prince's Friend Joins The Minneapolis Celebration 2019 Festivities This April In Honor Of Prince
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Leading the way on the YouTube platform for Prince Rogers Nelson fan-based content, Prince's Friend host Eloy Lasanta will be in Minneapolis from Wednesday, April 24th through Sunday, April 28th for Celebration 2019 and is the special guest at the "Party Uptown at the Moxy" event on Saturday, April 27th at 9pm presented by Seven Leaves Promotions and Social Functions at the Moxy Uptown Minneapolis Hotel.

During the five days he will be in and Chanhassen, Lasanta will be attending events including Paisley Park's Celebration 2019 (Track 2) and Prince: In Concert on the Big Screen at The Armory, as well as a variety of related parties and alumni performances including the NPG Meet & Greet (4/24), Shelby J.'s One Night Only performance (4/25), and LP Music's show at the Icehouse (4/26). He will also be conducting interviews with various Prince alumni throughout the five days and will be posting nightly updates on his channel for those who can't attend.

On Saturday, April 27th, "Prince's Friend" will be the special guest at the "Party Uptown at the Moxy" event and will be conducting interviews with party guests throughout the night. The Moxy party also includes music by DJ Wae Fonkey; book signings by Allen Beaulieu (Prince: Before the Rain), Kim Berry (Diamonds & Curlz), and Andre Hollingsworth (A Tribute to His Musical Genius); a silent auction for PRN Alumni; a visual slideshow; Giveaways; and a special tribute to William "Hollywood" Doughty by Terry Jackson.

"I am beyond excited for this year's Celebration experience in Minneapolis," says Lasanta. "My first visit in 2018 was absolutely incredible, but this year, it's going to be at a whole new level since I know so many more friends/fams/fans and alumni now. It's also going to be jammed packed with interviews and video experiences so I can bring as much information as possible back to my viewers who couldn't make it. It's really important to me to share this to inspire people to come on their own in future years. This event is a must for fans of any level to not only enjoy Prince-related music and information, but also to experience Minneapolis in general. It's a fantastic destination for all music lovers."

Eloy Lasanta, more widely known just as "Prince's Friend" has carved out a niche for himself as a Prince Rogers Nelson historian with a global following and the highest subscriptions on the platform for fan-based, Prince-related content. His channel is organically growing at the rate of over 300% annually, has over 400 originally-produced videos, and that most recently celebrated crossing over an impressive 2 million collective views.

During his previous visit to Minneapolis, Lasanta attended the launch of photographer Allen Beaulieu and the Minneapolis Historical Society Press' book Prince: Before the Rain. Lasanta was a contributing writer of the book providing the accompanying copy that takes readers deeper into the context of these crucial early years. He joined other contributors including music artist Dez Dickerson who wrote the forward and writer and musician Jim Walsh who shared reminiscences from former bandmates, including Bobby Z., Dez Dickerson, André Cymone, and more. Beaulieu's 2018 photographic literary release puts into focus the hallmark imagery of Prince in the late '70s and early '80s.
