Dear Friends, Oh, Dearest God, so much hard-work and heartache has gone into this project! After so many shortcomings, obstacles and setbacks, I am finally able to upload this spine-shivering ballad translated some two months ago! Here it is at long bloody last! This song gives me the creeps. It's ever so insistent and persistent! I've tried to ignore it, but it has an uncanny way of seeping into my life again. It articulates the human heart's ambivalence toward bad news or torturous uncertainties: you don't want to know, yet you are dying to find out! So damn applicable to most contexts of our lives! That is the song's spellbinding magic. The arranger did an excellent job: the melody and vocals constitute a wonderful harmony. 張信哲 Jeff Chang XinZhe's distinctive vocals gave the song so much feeling and atmosphere. He has an indescribable way of harnessing his gentle, sweet voice to tell any highly emotional story in a sensitive, clear and unobtrusive manner. 別怕我傷心 Bie Pa Wo Shangxin: "Don't Be Afraid Of Breaking My Heart" is a definitive favourite of mine. As usual, I have given my conscientious and meticulous efforts. In spite of a poor command of Chinese, I always try my utmost to deliver wholesome clarity and an enduring quality that grows on you. I hope I have succeeded. I know I am still woefully inadequate in many respects. Like any other human being, I am struggling and learning.
