With so many tough questions facing Island County, it's important to me that I always remember where I came from and who I represent. For me, that's pretty simple. I grew up in Island County and I am committed to serving the best interests of the people of Whidbey and Camano Islands. Island County is diverse and our needs are varied, but there is one thing we all share, we want a safe, affordable, beautiful place to call home and an economy that makes that possible. It's time we change the tone of leadership from confrontational and accusatory, to trusting and collaborative...where the best ideas and solutions rise to the top, and citizens know that when they speak they will be respected and heard. As your next Island County Commissioner, I believe in sound public policy that encourages economic growth, effective government spending, and prioritizing programs that focus on the core services of County Government that we all deserve and expect.
