First 2 minutes breaks down the elements so skip to 2:08 to get right into it. I thought this song/hook was catchy and I found I really like A major. (In connection to Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata, Peter Cropper said that A major "is the fullest sounding key for the violin." Not to mention, it's fairly simple musically so easy for me to break down parts by ear. Had fun with this, just fyi left out the bells & whistles and sfx for now..Original track by Kane Beatz & hook by Dante Rowley, some other recent hits of his are Lupe's Show Goes On and YM's Bedrock.
After dabbling in FL Studio for the past year from time to time and taking on a couple mini-projects, I finally felt comfortable finishing my first mastered production from scratch to finish. Having had difficulties with the FL interface, tools, and techniques in the beginning to complete my own personal compositions (especially with sound manipulation "ear candy" and arrangement) I felt the best way to learn was to emulate producer influences through trial and error. Not to mention it also took a while to get used to all the programs, vsts, and building up a decent sound library! Everything was done through FL Studio and keyboard. Final project thoughts- My primary instrument/music background is violin and symphony, followed by vocals and guitar. Planning on getting Pro-Tools or Sony Acid up to record live violin solo(s) to the end and possibly verse/chrous and completing this with rewritten verses while keeping the hook.
On the horizon- delving into beat theory, looping/sampling techniques, vocodor use, melodic leads, creative song arrangement and looking for the next big hardware purchases..MPC 1000 and Korg M50?
