Posted in memory of Mike Thomson (1946 - 2018) In this video Mike Thomson, at the invitation of Jack Gibbons, makes a guest appearance at the conclusion of Jack Gibbons' Gershwin concert in Oxford England on 29 November 2009 playing his (Mike Thomson's) transcription of Russ Conway's Side Saddle. Following this is a video of Russ Conway himself playing "Side Saddle", recorded in 1959. "Side Saddle" spent 30 weeks in the Top 20 of the UK hit parade in 1959, four of them at number one.
