The name of Zayn Malik became worldwide known when he joined a boy band One Direction after participation in X-Factor of 2010. The band turned out to be really successful and in 2012 released the first album that was so popular that was registered in the Guinness Book of Records. Having performed in the band for five years, Malik decided to pursue solo career and immediately signed a contract with RCA Records. Zayn’s father Yaser is of a Pakistani origin. He worked as a trainer and took care of kids when a wife was busy at work. Both father and son are very close and share a tight bond. According to Zayn, it was his dad who introduced him to the world of music and he is forever grateful for that.
The mother Tricia is of English descent, however when she married Yaser, she converted to Islam. She worked at a school as a chef. Nowadays, a famous son supports the family financially and even bought a house for parents.
Jean Brannan is a maternal grandmother, who was very close with Zayn. Together with husband, she had five children. Jean died in 2016, aged 78.
Maternal grandfather Walter worked as a licensee and had been married to Jean until his death in 2010, at the age of 75.
The names of paternal grandparents are not known but we do know that they immigrated to the UK from Pakistan and created a family.

Doniya was born in 1991 and is the eldest sibling in a family. She is a well-known makeup artist and an Instagram star. In her hometown Branford, she runs a salon along with a sister and mom.
Waliyha is a younger sister delivered in 1998. Together with Doniya, she produces cosmetics and also proceeds with a career of a model. She is extremely popular on Instagram, was featured in Story of My Life and is a media influencer.
The youngest sister is named Safaa and she was welcomed in 2002. Today, she is the only child that lives with parents and they say that Zayn often spoils her with gifts. Also, according to Safaa, she doesn’t want to be involved in the entertainment industry and tries to avoid journalists.
As for the celebrity’s personal life, he had been in a relationship with Perrie Edwards since 2011 and up till 2015. Perrie is a singer in a girl band Little Mix and has a very successful singing career. After two years of dating, the couple got engaged but called it off in 2015 after rumors of Malik’s cheating.
A supermodel Gigi Hadid became the next singer’s girlfriend in 2015. The two lovebirds were really in love and even cooperated together, appearing on the covers of different magazines, red carpets and many other events. After three years, they broke up but then reconciled again just to separate in a couple of month later.
