In humanitarian news, Jordan lauds United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) efforts in the country. According to the Jordan Times, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein expressed his thankfulness to UNICEF for the organization's programs which support and augment children's services in Jordan. In response, UNICEF's Executive Director Dr. Anthony Lake commended Jordan's work in facilitating access for disadvantaged youth to health, education, and protection. Moreover, Executive Director Dr. Lake also expressed gratitude for Her Majesty Queen Rani's role as UNICEF's first Eminent Advocate.
