''Jacob's Ladder'' - Huey Lewis & The News - Atlantic City, NJ - July 11th, 2014

As the House Of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ will be closing its doors along with the hotel and casino, the Showboat, that house it, I saw what will be my last show at this great, great venue and the band that, for me, closes the House down was Huey Lewis & The News. It had been 25 years since I saw them last in Asbury Park, NJ under the name The Sports Section so I was excited to see that the ''heart of Rock and Roll is still beatin'''. They have aged wonderfully and I am so glad I finally saw them again after so many years. ''Jacob's Ladder'' was a huge hit for The News from their mega hit record, Fore (1986), in the midst of the band's incredible decade-long string of hits that made them one of the top acts of the 1980's. Thank you, Huey Lewis & The News for so much wonderful music for so many years and for a great final show (for me) at the House Of Blues.
