Tony Orlando & Dawn - SKYBIRD # 49 in 1975. Born Michael Anthony Orlando Cassavitis April 3, 1944 in Manhattan, New York of Greek/Puerto Rican parents. At age 16 he was discovered by producer Don Kirshner. In 1970 he formed DAWN, which featured singers Telma Hopkins (from Louisville) and Joyce Vincent (from Detroit). Had his own TV variety show: "Tony Orlando and Dawn" from 1974-76. Tony opened the Tony Orlando Yellow Ribbon Music Theater in Branson, Missouri.
