Men They Couldn't Hang - Rosettes - (Live at the Town and Country Club, London, UK, 1991)

MEN THEY COULDN'T HANG - The Shooting 17 Rosettes Formed in 1984, The Men They Couldn't Hang quickly became favourites on the UK's alternative country music scene. Encouraged by the success of their first single 'Green Fields Of France', they released their debut album 'Land of a Thousand Candles' in 1985, which also became a hit. The band went on to record a further 5 albums before they finally split in the early nineties; an event that left a huge gap in the UK alt-country scene. It felt like an era had come to an end. In 1991 The Men They Couldn't Hang got together for a highly emotional one-off live performance at London's famous Town and Country Club. That night they played to a sell-out crowd and demonstrated exactly why they had become of one of the most missed bands on the circuit. This film contains the footage from that legendary reunion concert, along with 8 extra tracks that did not appear on the original video release. For fans of the band it is an absolute must have, to the uneducated it will surely be an absolute joy to discover. www.cherryred.co.uk
