Hiking North Manitou Island, Sleeping Bear Dunes Nat. Lkshor., MI - June 2019 - Rain, Deer, & Shine

Documenting a hike of on North Manitou Island, part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore; June 14-16, 2019. 15 miles, 3 days, and 2 nights of hiking, backpacking, and camping. We began our hike in the rain at the Village Dock. Heading south we stopped at the cemetery and Anderson Homestead for a hot drink and to dry out on the porch. We camped not far from Anderson Homestead, near the east shore of the island. Our mileage for the day was 3.5. On day 2 we hiked back to the main trail then traveled northwest, stopping at Fredrickson Place for lunch. After checking out Swenson's Barn we ended our hike at Crescent Dock for a daily mileage of 6. We returned to the Village on day 3.
