SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Music Australia) - Topping off a week of highs that started with her live performance on NBC's Today show at Rockerfeller Plaza in New York, Delta Goodrem put on yet another dazzling show at the 2005 World Music Awards last night in LA, before accepting the award for Best Selling Artist - Australia.
She might have been performing for an estimated TV audience of one billion people around the globe, but Delta Goodrem stayed true to herself and her long-time Australian fans at the 2005 World Music Awards last night, performing her usual relaxed ritual of kicking off her heels as she sat down at the piano to deliver yet another brilliant rendition of her US airplay debut single, 'Lost Without You'.

Joining the likes of Destiny's Child, Mariah Carey, Amerie, Usher and Santana on the star-studded line-up to perform at the Awards, held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Delta was also honoured for her outstanding achievements in music, taking out the award for Best Selling Artist - Australia for the second year running.

Her win and performance at the 2005 WMA's caps off a phenomenal and defining week for the superstar singer/songwriter, who set tongues wagging earlier in the week with a knockout performance of 'Lost Without You' on NBC's Today Show, broadcast live from the Rockefeller Plaza in New York to an estimated five million US viewers.

Australian music industry icon and one of Delta's long-time friends, Molly Meldrum, was on hand in NYC to introduce her US Today show appearance to Channel Seven's Sunrise viewers back here in Australia - head for the gallery on Delta's official website www.deltagoodrem.com to check out some of the snaps!

The 2005 World Music Awards will be televised in the US on the ABC network on September 13, and in over 160 other countries at later dates - please check your local listing for more information.

Delta's forthcoming US debut album, 'Born To Try', will be released on October 25.
