Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Cold River Records) - Newcomer Katie Armiger is set to release her self-titled debut album on Cold River Records August 14th, which is already garnering rave reviews. The album heralds the arrival of a distinctive vocal talent with an unforgettable array of powerful and brilliant songs, over half of which Katie co-wrote. At the age of 16 Katie has the talent and poise needed to pave the way for one of country music's brightest stars; a voice beyond her years that is strong, skilled and dramatic and writing that is mature yet, sincere and optimistic.

'Music has always been an enormous part of my life so this album is a dream come true,' said Katie. 'Songwriting is my getaway, a way for me to convey my emotions and express my creativity. I set out to make an album that would strike a chord with listeners through songs that they could relate to from loss to love to the even the excitement of everyday life.'

The album was produced by veteran producer Mark Oliverius who over the years has worked with the likes of Trick Pony, Joe Diffie, Sammy Kershaw, and Lorrie Morgan, among others. Oliverius lit Katie's creative fuse and helped make an album that not only captures her vocal ability with songs such as 'Still,' 'Love Without Fear,' and 'Beautiful in Me,' but also captured her subtle and sensitive interpretations that fuel the depth of the 11-song recording with songs like 'Make Me Believe,' 'Just Can't Say Goodbye,' 'Let Him Go,' and 'Hard Road.'

'At a young age Katie Armiger has a lot to say,' said Oliverius. 'She has a huge voice and a strength for songwriting that goes well beyond her years. I believe that she really has what it takes to make it in this business - a strong musical talent and a passion for what she does.'

Katie Armiger's debut album, has already gained radio and print attention pegging her as a much needed breath of fresh air and an artist to sit up and take notice of. Her debut single from the album '17 In Abilene' is currently climbing the charts and has listeners in awe of what is possible from a 16 year old.
Katie Armiger is currently on the road on her first radio tour in support of her forthcoming album. For radio visit dates and more information on Katie Armiger please visit www.katiearmiger.com.
