Australian Folk Trio Georgia Germein & The Germein Sisters To Perform At Indie Week
Toronto, CANADA (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) For Immediate Release September 25, 2012 (Toronto, ON); We're only a few weeks away from Indie Week in Toronto which means, only a few weeks away from Georgia Germein & the Germein Sisters first showcase in Canada. The Germein Sisters are a pop/rock/folk band based out of Adelaide, Australia. With exhilarating rhythms of Florence & the Machine and uplifting harmonies of the Dixie Chicks, Georgia Germein & the Germein Sisters are sure to charm the audiences.

2012 has brought about a National Tour of Australia, Europe, as well as a month spent in Ireland recording their new album with producer Billy Farrell (The Corrs) & Stuart Gray (Sinead O'Connor). 20-year-old songwriter of the band Georgia Germein (vocals, guitar, piano, ukulele, violin) has won numerous awards for her songwriting including 7 ASME Young Composers Awards, a semi-finalist status in the International Songwriting Competition, and National Winner of the Red Cross Radio Competition. Her debut solo album Take My Hand produced with Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone) was rated 9/10 by the AU Review, and is currently receiving airplay all around the world.

Drawing on her experiences of growing up in the bush in the Adelaide Hills, Australia; her love of the ocean and traveling, combined with her commitment to Indigenous Reconciliation - Georgia has worked in the Kalahari, South Africa and Nepal as World Vision's 2010 Youth Ambassador. Georgia's passion for the environment is also evident, being a youth advocate for the Nature Foundation South Australia, a member of Fauna Rescue, and also a carer of orphaned Australian wildlife - with kangaroo joeys in her care at the current time.

Her songs are brought to new heights by her two sisters Ella Germein (backing vocals, bass guitar, synth, cello) & Clara Germein (backing vocals, drums, guitar).

These three inspirational Adelaide youths send shivers down your spine with their beautiful music and lyrics that are filled with wisdom beyond their years..." Rip It Up Magazine
