PLEASE READ!!!! Your question may be answered here. :) Hi Guys! Every year I like to dye my hair to enhance its natural color. I am a natural dark brown and I like to use a soft black hair color to give it "some pop". Oh yeah, I am not a fan of rinses for my (natural) hair because I cowash my hair a lot and the rinse (semi permanent) never last..I have used them before but they just do not last :( . Lol. BUT using a semi permanent is great option if you do not want to use permanent dye. :) With that said I decided to try out SheaMoisture's Ammonia free hair color system on my hair. This is my first box dye! I used soft black... Note: This is a permanent hair color and if you're not comfortable with coloring your hair, please see a professional. The hair color is super easy to use and it smells great! *A major plus! Ha! The hair color systems includes: gloves applicator brush for the brush technique an applicator bottle for the bottle technique (I used this method) Raw Shea Butter Restorative Shampoo,conditioner, and elixir. Instructions Hair Color Developer I applied the hair color to four sections...working fast. You must work quickly with hair color. I allowed the color to process for exactly 30 minutes without a cap. *** I only used one bottle and had quite a bit left over, if your hair is really long and thick you may need two bottles. *** I rinsed and cowshed my hair until the water turned clear. I deep conditioned with the Restorative Conditioner for 1 hour with a plastic cap without heat. Rinse Re applied the restorative conditioner and created 3 plaits for a braid out. That's it. My hair is very soft and fluffy. You may need to lift your color to lighten it...just a friendly reminder. Overall thoughts- I'm very impressed with the hair color and the softness that I have.
