Singer/Songwriter Mark Geary from Dublin, plays two NYC Shows

Mark Geary returns to his NYC roots to perform as a part of the CMJ Music Marathon, at the Alphabet Lounge (104 Avenue C) on Wednesday, October 13 at 10pm. Fans who are unable to catch this show will have another opportunity the following night, Thursday, October 14 at The Parkside Lounge (East Houston between Ave. B and C), at 8pm. There is a cover charge of $5.00 for each performance.
Recognized today as one of the East Village's favorite performers (Booker Kio Novina calls Geary "one of the best acts around!"), Geary has opened for the likes of Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Coldplay, The Pogues, Beth Orton, Billy Bragg and the late great Joe Strummer. His second album, 'Ghosts,' was released in Ireland on August 27, 2004, where it was number 12 on the Irish Album Charts, making it the second highest new entry. Featuring background vocals by Josh Ritter and 'The Frames'' Glen Hansard, the album is scheduled to be released in the US On January 25, 2005. He is slated to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this fall, and was a featured guest on Fox's 'Good Day Atlanta' in June (over 1 million viewers).
