LOS ANGELES (Atlantic Records) - Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Atlantic have teamed up once again to release an original motion picture soundtrack, this time for TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE. Just in time for the Presidential election, the soundtrack features patriotic songs from the film such as 'Freedom Isn't Free' and 'America, F**k Yeah.' The Paramount Pictures film is the second full-length feature from the guys who brought you 'South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.' That film had an Academy Award-nominated soundtrack with the rousing song 'Blame Canada.' An action adventure with a marionette cast (it works, we promise), 'Team America: World Police' is about an international police force dedicated to maintaining global stability. When they learn that a power hungry dictator is brokering weapons of mass destruction to terrorists, the heroes embark on a mission to save the world, complete with full musical accompaniment, of course.
One can only imagine the marionette choreography for the song 'Kim Jong Il.' The TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE SOUNDTRACK for the Paramount Pictures film will be released exclusively online on October 19th, and hits stores November 2nd, just two weeks after the film hits 2,000 theaters nationwide.
