Call For Entries: Entry Window Opens On Monday 20th October For Music+Sound Awards 2015
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) In 2015 the UK Music+Sound Awards returns with a new ceremony format and revised categories. The Music+Sound Awards is the only global awards to specialise in the recognition of the full range of disciplines for music and sound design in the media. The awards were started in 2012 to recognise the many professionals who work in the background to bring such a vital part of any production to life, as well as those who commission them.

Entrants are invited to submit their work from Monday, and anyone who has worked in any capacity on a project they feel has been significantly enhanced by the music or sound is eligible to enter.

In addition to awards for Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design and Best Sync, this year sees Best Re-Record or Adaptation have its own collection of sub-categories.

2015 follows on from the huge success of previous years with, once again, the music and sound design industries coming together to make it happen, with sponsorship coming from several industry heavyweights.

Awards co-founder, Dan Neale comments, "We are delighted to announce the opening of MASA 2015. These awards are now firmly in the industry calendar, and we always strive to put on a great night based on the foundation of integrity and transparency. We have an incredible jury this year, and we're excited about the 2015 awards more than ever before"

A select group of industry authorities such as Ayla Owen (Head of Music, BBH London) and composer Maurizio Malagnini ('The Paradise') have been selected for their expertise and knowledge within their fields.

The entry window closes on Friday 5th December 2014 and entry details and competition rules can be found on the awards site, www.masawards.com. £5 from every entry will be donated to the Awards' charity partner, Nordoff Robbins, to help support the incredible work they do.

Nominees for the third Music+Sound Awards will be announced in early February 2015, and winning entries will be honoured and showcased at a ceremony on Wednesday 4th March 2015 at Café De Paris, in London.

Sponsors of the Music+Sound Awards 2015 include 750MPH, Cord Worldwide, Jungle Studios, Leland Music, Native Music Supervision, SIREN, Wave Music, Wave Studios and Yellow Boat Music.

Boilerplate
The Music+Sound Awards were the world's first awards programme to recognise and celebrate the indispensable role and outstanding contribution that music and sound design play in the world of visual media, and are the only global awards programme to cover the full range of music and sound design disciplines.

Aimed at professionals working in advertising, film, television (branding and programming) and gaming, the awards are open to anyone who is or has been involved in the creation, composition, sourcing, licensing, briefing and / or production of music and sound design for any visual media broadcast or released in the UK.

The awards categories have been created to include the widest possible use of music and sound in visual media. They invite entries from television and cinema commercials, non-broadcast or viral advertising, branding and title sequence, feature and short films, television programmes and computer games. Each of these areas will be judged for: best original composition, best sound design, best sync / use of existing music and best re-record / adaptation.
