NEW YORK (Shady National Convention) - Ending weeks of speculation, organizers at the 2004 Shady National Convention announced that Eminem will in fact be performing at the Convention, set to be held on October 28th at New York City's fabled Roseland Ballroom. Convention Chairman P. Daniel Rosenberg announced: "This is a banner day for us all at the SNC. Eminem performing a live set at Roseland Ballroom is a super-sized, once in a lifetime event. We can expect his performance platform to be a combination of both his core value messages from the past and some new issues that will be of key importance to conventioneers come November 16th." When asked if this means Eminem would be performing songs from his new album, Encore, and classic material as well, Rosenberg responded, "Yes." SNC insiders have also predicted that news about special guests and a possible television broadcast of the Convention were likely to be made in the coming days. In addition, 70 radio stations across the U.S. have begun contests this week to aid the SNC in the choosing of delegates. Contest winners will be flown to New York City to attend the Convention, where they will join the Shady Party as delegates representing their home states.
