New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On Monday, November 10th at 10pm Janna Pelle will release her newest single "City Life" with a live performance at the Lower East Side hotspot PIANOS. Pelle who is a classically trained pianist turned DIY pop performer is thrilled to share her newest track. Pelle says, "I've lived in New York for a little over a year now, and these are my thoughts about it. To quote the song, 'So, this is City Life for better or for worse, even on a shitty day I still live in the greatest place on Earth.'"
"City Life" is part of Pelle's upcoming album Key Change, a concept album following the chronological history of the keyboard's evolution from harpsichord to synthesizer. The release of "City Life" begins the roll out of an exciting and intriguing full-length sophomore album from Pelle. About releasing the "City Life" single at PIANOS Pelle says, "I love this venue! PIANOS doesn't know it yet, but they're going to be my home spot this year. It just makes too much sense. I'm writing an album called Key Change about the history of the piano through pop music. Pianos was once a piano store and now it's a bar. . . how great of a history lesson is that?"
Pelle is currently in the post-glow of multiple successful CMJ performances at the 2014 CMJ Music Marathon, putting the finishing touches on Key Change with Producer Max Low, filming the "City Life" music video which includes a collaboration with renowned bodypainting artist Trina Merry, and curating musical playlists as the musical director of Skipping Club, an organization that has been recognized by The New York Times and Fox.
Make sure to mark your calendar for November 10th to catch Janna Pelle's multi-faceted live performance at PIANOS, featuring a variety of other members of NYC's artistic community.
