New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Curiously, Inc announced the official launch of their innovative music dating website, curiously.com.
Curiously.com is the brainchild of former musician Grant Powell, who set out to create a dating website that matches users based on their shared taste in music. Grant, who met his wife online says, "There is no doubt of the importance online dating has in our modern society, and it needs to evolve. That's why we're using music to bring people together - there is no medium more powerful at making personal connections."
The Curiously matchmaking website provides users an easy-to-use interface for exploring and interacting with an emphasis on connecting through a "shared love of music." The website features unique functionality such as the "send-a-song" feature, that allows members to embed playable songs in private messages. It engages its members with hand-curated playlists and a "discover" page that spotlights new, up-and-coming musicians.
To commemorate this launch, Curiously is hosting a private, members-only event that showcases local musicians at Rough Trade in Brooklyn, NY on January 30th, 2015. The headlining act is Small Black, an electro-indie pop band based in Brooklyn. Nicholas Nicholas will play in support.
Curiously.com has been successfully operating for several months as a private beta site with thousands of subscribers.
