LOS ANGELES (www.mee-j.com) - On Saturday evening, November 27, 2004 Bay Area jazz player, saxophonist, Marcia Miget, will be at the Last Day Saloon (406 Clement Street) in San Francisco, with Sun Ra Arkestra members, trombonist Tyrone Hill and bassist Kash Killion. Joined by local drummer, Michael Aragon and pianist, George Khouri they will make a rare club appearance as the Deep Space Posse.

A multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator, la Maestra Marcia Miget is a musician whose most recent performances this year include the International Association of Jazz Education Convention as the featured artist, Monterey, Vallejo, and Fillmore Jazz Festivals. Her performance pedigree includes such notables as Carlos Santana, Freddy Redd, Larry Ridley, Buddy Baker, Kenny Barron, Pete Escovedo, Chick Corea, Anthony Brown and the Asian American Orchestra, and Jaimeo Brown (to name a select few. Master Instructor for Miraflores Academy her signature project, Discoverie, is available as a download on www.mee-j.com.

Returning from a recent Milan tour with the Arkestra, Brass Section leader and arranger Mr. Hill also performed with NRBQ and Yo lo Tengo. In addition to recording with Sun Ra, he also has numerous solo recordings available on Cadence Records.

Playing cello, bass and assorted Middle Eastern stringed instruments such as, serengi and esraj, Kash Killion's concert history includes performances with Donald Byrd, George Cables, Billy Higgins, Reggie Workman as well as the Sun Ra Arkestra. A consummate session musician his new solo project, called Killion's Trillions, is currently available.
For this special fundraiser the Deep Space Posse will be joined by Michael Aragon on drums, George Khouri on piano and some very special guests.

This concert is a benefit for the Jazz House in Berkeley, CA that having recently lost their lease, is in need a new home. Help them to continue as one of the great venues for jazz performance and a prime force in supporting and developing musical talent the likes of Tyrone Hill, William Parker, Andrew Voight, Eddie Gale and Vincent Tolliver in the Bay Area.
