Wilson helped induct Holiday into The Apollo Theater's Walk of Fame last night and will headline The Apollo Theatre for the first time ever this Friday.
Together with producer Nick Launay (known for his work with Nick Cave), T Bone Burnett and Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), string arranger Van Dyke Parks, the rhythm section from The Bad Seeds and longtime collaborators Jon Cowherd on piano and
Kevin Breit on guitar, Wilson chose songs that span Holiday's abbreviated career to probe beyond her tragedy and honor her beauty, genius and craft.
