New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Revival Recordings announces the signing of New York City's The Things They Carried. First catching the attention of Revival Recordings' President Shawn Mike in 2013, Milke was quick to add them to the fold: "When I started the label a few years back," proclaims Milke, "I was looking for a band that exhibited the whole 'music first, acclaim second' type of attitude. The members of The Things They Carried are the definition of artists, and bring an incredible passion to the Revival family."
Upon signing The Things They Carried, Milke quickly put on his Producer's hat, and, along with engineer Neil Engle (Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Dance Gavin Dance), went on to record the band's upcoming record, Melancholia. The album, which combines The Things They Carried's metalcore influences and their ability to infuse melodic clean vocals and experimental song structures, is due to be released in May.
In addition to the announcements of The Things They Carried's signing with Revival Recordings and their new album, the band will be heading out on a headlining tour to support their new record, with Bitter Kids and Caramel Carmela this May. The 12 date tour will begin in Lawrence, KS on May 10th and wrap up in Port Charlotte, FL on May 23rd.
