LOS ANGELES (Justin Time Records) - "I've released five albums in all parts of the world," Latin guitarist Pavlo says. "I started playing at the age of 10; blues, classical and flamenco. I started going to concerts with my dad." Pavlo's U.S. release, "Fantasia," on Justin Time Records is full of the Latin and classical-sounding selections highlighted by Pavlo's guitar. " Fantasia" was released in Canada (his second release) and was certified gold (along with his debut Canadian release). By his fourth Canadian release he won World Artist of the Year at the Canadian Music Awards. Last year he won a court battle with R. Kelly, who used a sample of his " Fantasia" single for his hit "Fiesta." "I'm so lucky," Pavlo says. "I been broke all my life, but not in the last five years. In this day and age make sure you own your songs; never give it a way. I never gave away my songs." Because of that Pavlo says he'll be getting paid from R. Kelly for a long time. You can hear the entire " Fantasia" single on his same title debut U.S. album. My favorite cuts on the album are "Midnight Dance," a Latin Salsa style number; "Andalusia by Night" and Love You Forever."
