
LOS ANGELES (www.oscars.org) - The deadline for submission of Official Screen Credits and
Music Submission forms to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is Wednesday, December 1.
In order for a feature film to be considered for the 77th Academy Award , the distributor or producer must file an Official Screen Credits form with the Academy on or before the December 1 deadline.
For an achievement to be eligible for nomination in the Original Score, Original Song and Original Musical categories, an Official
Music Submission form must be submitted by the principal music writer(s) for an eligible feature on or before December 1.

If the completed Screen Credits form isn't received by 5 p.m. on December 1, the feature's title will not be included in the Reminder List of Eligible Releases - the list of films eligible for Academy Award consideration. Votes are not counted for films not included in the Reminder List.
Though the credits submission deadline is December 1, feature films have until midnight , December 31, to open in Los Angeles County and begin a minimum run of seven consecutive days to be eligible for 2004 Academy Awards consideration.
Entries in the Foreign Language, Animated Feature, Documentary and Short Film categories are subject to special rules and must meet other qualifying criteria.
The 77th Academy Award nominations will be announced at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Tuesday, January 25, 2005.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2005, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST , beginning with a half-hour arrival segment.
