Alternative singer/rocker Henry Rollins and actor Patrick Kilpatrick set to visit Troops in the Middle East

WASHINGTON, DC. (USO/ www.uso.org) - Singer and actor Henry Rollins and actor Patrick Kilpatrick will soon depart on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) tour to provide a morale-boost to troops supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. The two will meet with service members, sign autographs and have as much one-on-one interaction with service members as possible during this holiday season.

On his fourth USO tour, Rollins is best known for his alternative rock/punk music. He began his career with hardcore punk pioneers Black Flag and reappeared a year later with the Rollins Band. In 1994, the Rollins Band released "Weight," which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Band.

Rollins also ventured into acting and has appeared in several feature films, including "Lost Highway" and the upcoming "Alibi." He is the host of Fox TV's "Nightvisions" and is an accomplished spoken-word performer, earning a Grammy for "Get in the Van." Rollins has written numerous books and hosts a weekly radio program on 103.1-FM in Los Angeles. He also is host of a new series, "Henry's Film Corner," premiering Dec. 4 on the Independent Film Channel.

Kilpatrick, described as one of the finest screen/television villains of his generation, has appeared in more than 50 films, from the cult classic "Toxic Avenger" to "Minority Report." His television appearances include "ER," "Boomtown," "JAG" and "Las Vegas." His versatility is evident with roles in such action films as "Eraser," "Last Man Standing" and the Jean Claude Van Damme hit "Death Warrant," in which he played "The Sandman."
He also has appeared in highly rated cable westerns, including "The Quick and the Dead." Kilpatrick, who started out as a journalist, also is a writer/producer and a founding partner of New York City's Divine Theater. His stage roles include "A Place Called Heartbreak" and "Requiem for a Heavyweight." This is his first USO/AFE tour.

This tour continues the USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tradition of bringing celebrities to the "front lines" of combat activities. Recent tours include James Gandolfini, Rob Schneider, Toby Keith, and 50 Cent and G-Unit.
