LOS ANGELES (RCA Records) - Singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne has announced a slate of January 2005 tour dates to support the ever-growing sales for his acclaimed debut album Trouble, which was released earlier this fall on RCA Records. The eleven-city tour begins in LaMontagne's home state of Maine with a date at Portland's Asylum on January 14th and culminates in Los Angeles at The Troubadour on January 29th.
Ray will also play New York City's Bowery Ballroom on January 19th and hit the Baltimore/DC area for the first time with a January 20th date in Arlington, VA. LaMontagne is also scheduled to perform on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on January 19th.

From the very start, LaMontagne's Trouble, which was produced by Ethan Johns, ignited the kind of attention reserved for very few artists. Esquire said "these songs will be your best friends. His voice will stop you dead in your tracks." The Chicago Sun Times said that Trouble is "a genuine revelation, a collection of largely acoustic, hauntingly stark songs that demand attention...." And now, with the album taking off in the UK, LaMontagne is getting the same treatment in England. After attending a recent London show, The Daily Telegraph said that "LaMontagne must have melted almost every heart in the room."

"Trouble" is currently a Top Ten track at Triple A radio and the album has grown in sales virtually every single week since its release in September, scanning more than 3,500 copies this past week.
