LOS ANGELES (TVT Soundtrax) - TVT Soundtrax is proud to release the soundtrack for the forthcoming theatrical release film Be Cool. The soundtrack, released on March 1st brings together old and new, mixing classic R&B with today's hottest sounds from the likes of The Black Eyed Peas and Christina Millian who also stars in the film.

Be Cool, to be released by MGM Pictures March 4th is the sequel to the 1995 hit, Get Shorty. While Get Shorty tackled the movie industry, Be Cool takes a stab at the music business with Chili Palmer (John Travolta) abandoning the fickle Hollywood to bring his signature brand of wiseguy skills and negotiation tactics to the music industry and teams up with an old time friend now Record Company maven (Uma Thurman).

The female lead character named Linda Moon (played by IDJ recording artist Christina Milian) is at the end of her rope, stuck in a cheesy all-girl cover group called "Chicks International" (a Destiny's Child wannabe) performing covers ala "Lady Marmalade" at the Viper Room. She also has mafioso type manager (Vince Vaughn), thug body guard (The Rock) and record company head (Harvey Keitel). When Linda meets Chili he breaks her away from her shifty management and cover group to write and record her own songs and of course becomes a huge, legitimate, superstar. The story ends with her performing at the Grammys.

The film also stars: Cedric the Entertainer, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Andre 3000 (Outcast), Debi Mazar, Danny DeVito, Robert Pastorelli, Anthony Ribustello, Alex Kubik and Kimberly Brown.

Directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set it Off, The Negotiator, A Man Apart, The Italian Job) Produced by: Danny DeVito, David Nicksay, Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher

The soundtrack includes 2 original, exclusive tracks that Christina Milian performs in the film, one which was written by written by Alicia Keys, Rich Harrison (produced Crazy in Love) and the other (co-written by will.i.am -Black Eyed Peas)
