BRENTWOOD, TN. (Sparrow Records) - MTV reports that San Diego rock band Switchfoot is back in the recording studio now working on the follow-up to its double platinum album THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN ("Meant To Live," "Dare You To Move").

In an exclusive interview with the network, Switchfoot lead singer/guitarist Jon Foreman tells MTV that the new album, due for release later in 2005, is likely to be influenced in style and theme by the band's recent life on the road.
Since the release of THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN, Switchfoot has played over 300 concerts for more than 1.25 million fans worldwide.
According to Foreman, about 40 songs have already been written with the new album in mind.
