What:
Official media announcement of the 19th Annual Soul Train Music Awards nominations with Soul Train founder and music industry icon, Don Cornelius and special guests. The Soul Train Music Awards is an annual celebration honoring the accomplishments of recording artists in the fields of Soul music, including R&B, Hip Hop, Rap and Gospel. Actual winners in each category will be announced during a taped telecast of the awards show, which will be held on Monday, February 28 at Paramount Studios. The Soul Train Music Awards is produced by Don Cornelius Productions, Inc. in association with Tribune Entertainment Company.

Soul Train creator and executive producer Don Cornelius has been on the cutting edge of Soul and R&B music for more than 30 years. His achievements and influence have long been recognized by Hollywood and the broadcasting community alike, as evidenced by a Star in his name placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1997 and his 1995 induction into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame.
