WHAT: GRAMMY Salute To Jazz An evening dedicated to paying tribute to jazz — one of the great American musical forms. The President' s Merit Award will be presented to Benny Golson, Jon Hendricks, and Horace Silver for outstanding achievement and contributions to the jazz genre and the music community. In addition, there will be live performances by the honorees and Al Jarreau. The GRAMMY Salute To Jazz event is part of GRAMMY Week, a week-long celebration of music and the recorded arts leading up to the 47th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, Feb. 13 — broadcast live from STAPLES Center on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
