DETROIT,
MI. (Berettamusic) - In the ever changing and ever evolving techno
music scene, Berettamusic has managed to stand out with it's widely
appreciated techno and house mixture of a sound. Hailing from Detroit
the Berettamusic crew can bring the deep tech house grooves that
Detroit is known for and also the grittier classic
Detroit influence,
depending on the release. From these quality releases, the label has
managed to stand out among all other U.S. Techno labels at the moment,
constantly churning out better and better music with each release.
This
newest EP, by label owner Ryski, "Two Sides to Every Story", is no
exception as it firmly holds true to the label's beliefs, straddling
the line between techno and house as well as bringing quality music to
the table. This release is a 4 tracker and also enlists the help of
Philip Braunstein (Superbra/G-Force) for the remix of "Harvard Notion"
as he turns up the heat with this smoking Italian-esque, dancefloor
burner. On the flip, Ryski shows the housier edge of the EP with,
"Kingston Rain", which is a neo-reggae house gem that has been getting
spins from people like Bryan Zentz and Adam Jay and is causing quite a
stir at the moment. On the B2 is "
Falling Stars" which has a harder and
more disco influenced sound, that seems to build and flow through the
six minutes, leaving you on the edge of your seat, wishing for more.
Ryski
who has also done work for Colorecordings (under his real name Ryan
Sadorus) contributes nicely to a quality catalog of BerettaMusic
releases. This EP will surely appeal to Techno and House buffs alike.
