NEW YORK (Virgin Records) - Following their critically acclaimed debut record Inertia, which had Rolling Stone hailing them as one of the 10 bands to watch and "a feast of audacious rhythm guitars supporting smart, insinuating hooks that can also smack you sideways" and Spin proclaiming "they do STP the way the Vines do Nirvana: faster, slicker, more obvious," the Exies returned with their sophomore release, Head For The Door on Virgin Records - November 30, 2004. After touring for over a year in support of Inertia, the Exies returned to Los Angeles where the band set out to carve a new sound fueled by the energy of their live shows and highlighting the band's adrenaline filled presence on stage. They recruited the talents of Grammy-winning rock producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver) to help hone the new songs. The result - a raw, kick-ass, take-no-prisoners rock record.

"Ugly," the first single off Head For The Door was a top 5 most added song at Active Rock radio in its first week and the video won FUSE's "Oven Fresh Keepers" competition, which sparked an early appearance on "The Daily Download" on October 14th. An appearance on WB's The Mountain where they perform "Ugly" and "Tired of You" aired on November 14th, while the video was featured on MTV 2's "New Faces Of Rock" show the week of November 15th. Another live performance on FUSE on November 30th (day of release), a recent stint on the Velvet Revolver tour, a performance on The Late Late Show January 14th, and a performance at the Blender Magazine Sundance party in Salt Lake City, UT on January 20th rounded out the initial launch for the record.
