BURBANK, CA. (Reprise/ Warner Bros.) - Reprise Records' Green Day will launch an extensive spring tour with My Chemical Romance supporting on April 15th in Coral Gables, FL.
"Boulevard Of Broken Dreams," the second single from "American Idiot," the album Time Magazine coined "a masterpiece," has firmly planted itself at Number One at multiple radio formats, a first for the band in their 15-year career. The band that "saves rock" (Entertainment Weekly) returns to the United States for a performance on the 47th Grammy Awards this Sunday, February 13th on CBS.

"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is currently number one on the Billboard Pop 100 Chart which combines mainstream top 40 radio airplay with retail and digital sales; number one on the Modern Rock Chart, where it has been for the past ten weeks; number one on the Active Rock Chart for the past seven weeks and number one at the AAA format for a solid month. "American Idiot," the title track of the album was number one on the Modern Rock for six consecutive weeks.

"American Idiot" was released on September 21st and debuted at Number One on the Billboard Charts, marking a first for the band in their career. The album also debuted at the top of the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and Australia. The album returned to the number one position in the United States and many countries around the globe.
The album received Grammy nominations for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. "American Idiot" also received the nod in the Best Short Form Music Video as well as Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for Rob Cavallo. The band has recently appeared on the covers of Entertainment Weekly, USA Today, and Rolling Stone.

Hailed as "one of the best live shows in rock" by Blender Magazine, Green Day has "conquered the world" (Rolling Stone). They are just winding down a Sold Out tour of Europe, and will hit Australia and Japan before they embark on their second US tour this spring.
