AUGUSTA, GA. (Firs Tee of Augusta announcement) - The First Tee of Augusta is pleased to announce "Drive for Show Rock Fore Dough", a benefit performance by national recording artists Hootie & The Blowfish, Sister Hazel and Edwin McCain along with Josh Kelley and The Pat Blanchard Band, in Augusta, Georgia on April 5th. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with performances beginning at 5:30 p.m. at The First Tee of Augusta golf course, 3165 Damascus Road.

Concerts of this stature generally happen in major cities. However, the timing and location of the concert are perfect. The concert is being held on an Augusta, Georgia golf course, the Tuesday of The Masters Golf Tournament, one of golf's most respected events. These bands, along with dedicated volunteers and organizers, are donating their time and proceeds from all event ticket sales and concessions to The First Tee of Augusta.

The First Tee of Augusta is excited about being selected as the site for the concert. The donated proceeds will be used to help further its mission of providing young people of all ethnic and economic backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.Special emphasis is placed on recruiting youth that are economically disadvantaged, at-risk, girls, minorities, youth with disabilities or students that might not have otherwise been exposed to the game and its positive values.
