NASHVILLE, TN. (Webster PR) - 2005 marks the 230th Birthday of the The Unites States Army. Since its birth on 14 June 1775-over a year before the Declaration of Independence-the United States Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of our nation. Soldiers have fought more than 10 wars, from the American Revolution through the Cold War, the Gulf War, to the current Global War on Terrorism. This 230th Birthday is recognition of The Army's history, traditions, and service to the Nation.

In 'Salute' of the United States Army, country music entertainers have joined force with the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs Bruce Zielsdorf and 77th Regional Readiness Command Sgt Major Chet Marcus to create and produce four-separate television specials on March 21st and 22nd at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Each special will be unique and will be targeted for a specific airing time. Themes for the specials include: Army Birthday, Patriotic/4th of July, Holiday, and WW II 60th Anniversary. The specials will air on Armed Forces Network, Pentagon Channel, among other Military outlets.
