New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Five-time Grammy Award winner Michael McDonald will bring his Season of Peace, Holiday and Hits Tour to Parx Casino® on Friday, November 30, 2018. Following the release of Season of Peace: The Christmas Collection on BMB, the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter will usher in the holidays in Bucks County with Christmas favorites like "White Christmas/Winter Wonderland," "Oh Holy Night," "Children Go Where I Send Thee" and a new version of "Winter Wonderland." This special holiday performance will take place at The Xcite Center, with doors opening at 7:00pm and the show starting at 8:00pm. Tickets are $45.00 to $250.00. VIP and meet and greet packages are available. Each and every ticket holder will receive a copy of Season of Peace included with their ticket price. Tickets and packages are available now at www.parxcasino.com/xcitecenter.

With a career that encompasses five Grammys, numerous chart successes and personal and professional accolades, as well as collaborations with some of the world's most prominent artists, Michael McDonald remains an enduring force in popular music. In celebration of the new holiday compilation record - and his other new album Wide Open - McDonald has added a number of winter performances to his current North American tour. McDonald's show at Parx Casino joins the line-up that also includes Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl with Kenny Loggins and Christopher Cross as well as performances at New York's South Street Seaport, Washington, DC's Filene Center at Wolf Trap with Peter Cetera, St. Louis' Loufest, the Cityfolk Festival in Ottawa and more.

Hailing from St. Louis, McDonald arrived in Los Angeles in the early 1970s, honing his talents as a studio musician before becoming an integral part of Steely Dan. In the mid-'70s McDonald was invited to join the Doobie Brothers as the band redefined their sound with McDonald serving as singer, keyboardist and songwriter on such Top 40 singles as "Takin' It To The Streets", "It Keeps You Runnin'", "Minute By Minute" and "What A Fool Believes". Throughout the '80s and '90s McDonald's solo career took off with a string of hits including "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)", "Sweet Freedom", "On My Own" (with Patti LaBelle) and the Grammy-winning James Ingram duet "Yah Mo B There", plus he co-wrote the Van Halen hit "I'll Wait". McDonald has performed with a who's-who of critically acclaimed artists across a number of genres, including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Vince Gill and Grizzly Bear.

McDonald's other recent album, Wide Open, found the hit maker collaborating with a number of special guests including Warren Haynes, Robben Ford, Marcus Miller and Branford Marsalis. McDonald's first album of original material in 17 years, Wide Open is comprised largely of material written over a number of years in-between projects and recorded in McDonald's Nashville studio with drummer Shannon Forrest (Faith Hill, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Toto) and an extensive cast of Nashville session musicians. The record follows a trio of albums of R&B and soul covers McDonald recorded for the fabled Motown label, the most recent being 2008's Soul Speak. Wide Open is the subject of extensive critical praise from the Los Angeles Times, NPR Music, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone and many more:

McDonald's other recent collaborations include his work on the critically acclaimed track "Show You The Way" with multi-genre bassist, singer and producer Thundercat and Kenny Loggins; McDonald performed the song with Thundercat during a surprise guest appearance at Coachella in April. This past spring, McDonald was joined by Solange Knowles, Allen Stone, Lawrence and members of Snarky Puppy and Vulfpeck at the Okeechobee Music Fest. McDonald continues to tour extensively as a solo artist, with a lengthy run dates planned with Loggins and Boz Scaggs.

Every ticket purchased for In Dreams will include a CD Season of Peace. Instructions for redemption will be sent to ticket purchasers within seven days of purchase. For more information and updates about shows at Parx Casino®, visit https://www.parxcasino.com/xcitecenter.

The Xcite Center is part of the $50M expansion at Parx that includes the opening of the new poker room, and two new restaurants (Oliveto and Liberty Bell Gastropub). The showroom was designed as a top quality music venue that would attract top caliber entertainers like Chicago, Rascal Flatts, Wayne Brady, Dane Cook, Third Eye Blind, Snow Patrol and many others. The space is 30,000 square feet large and features over 1,500 seats, state-of-the-art sound and technology, 26 automated crystal chandeliers, gold fabric on the walls, three 16 ft x 9 ft IMAG giant video screens, and a 65-foot-wide and 30-foot-deep stage. Every seat in the house is designed to provide an excellent view - even the last row of seats provides a perfect view of the stage. Stay tuned for more shows to be announced through the fall and winter.
